Also in Chiang Rai there is a Flower Festival which is beautiful event held annually from late December to mid-January. It takes place at Tung and Khom Park in Chiang Rai. The weather is mild, with daytime temperatures around 25°C (77°F) and cooler evenings. This is also the driest time of the year, making it great for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

• Loy Krathong and Yi Peng (usually in November): Famous for its lantern releases and river ceremonies.
• Chiang Rai Flower Festival (February): During this time lots of flower’s bloom.
• Songkran (Thai New Year): The water festival takes place in mid-April.

Pro tip – In the northern region, there are flood situations due to heavy rainfall so avoid traveling during August- September- October
