Thailand to Launch Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for All Foreign Visitors Starting 1 May 2025
The Immigration Bureau of Thailand is set to introduce a major update to its entry procedures. This will occur with the launch of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). The system is going live on 1 May 2025. This new system will fully replace the existing paper-based arrival card, TM.6 (To Mo 6), currently required from incoming travelers.
From the implementation date onward, all foreign nationals entering Thailand will need to complete the TDAC. This applies whether by air, land, or sea. The TDAC must be submitted electronically before arrival.
Streamlining Entry with Digital Innovation
The TDAC system is part of Thailand’s wider initiative to modernize and digitize immigration processes. The Immigration Bureau of Thailand manages the system. The goal is to simplify border entry procedures, reduce administrative burden, and improve convenience for travelers.
Foreign visitors will be required to fill out an online form containing key personal, travel, and health information. Submission must be completed before arrival. The system accepts entries up to three days in advance of the traveler’s intended date of entry. For example, travelers arriving on 5 May can begin submission from 2 May.
To accommodate those entering on launch day, the TDAC portal will be available starting 28 April 2025.
Who Must Complete the TDAC?
The TDAC is mandatory for all individuals holding foreign passports, including:
- Tourists
- Business travelers
- Long-term and permanent residents
However, two exceptions apply:
- Transit or transfer passengers who do not pass through immigration control
- Travelers entering via Border Passes
How to Submit the TDAC
The TDAC must be completed online via the Immigration Bureau’s official portal:

Travelers can fill out the form individually or on behalf of a group. If needed, submitted information can be updated at any time before the date of travel. Required information includes:
- Passport details
- Personal identification information
- Travel itinerary
- Accommodation in Thailand
- Basic health declaration
For foreign nationals residing in Thailand on a long-term basis, it is advised to choose “Thailand” under Country of Residence, once this option becomes available upon the system’s activation.
What If You Can’t Submit Before Arrival?
In the event that a traveler cannot submit the TDAC in advance and lacks internet access upon arrival, assistance will be provided at designated help stations located at immigration checkpoints. This support is strictly for exceptional cases, and all travelers are strongly encouraged to complete the TDAC online ahead of their journey to minimize delays and reduce congestion at the borders.
